Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Texas is seeking a Safety Professional to lead the plant's hazard analyses and safety initiatives. You will support the accident/illness program, perform risk analyses, and ensure adherence to safety procedures across shifts.

The role requires a college degree with at least five years in poultry/meat processing, strong English/Spanish communication, and the ability to work flexible hours in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Five years of related experience in poultry/meat processing preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work in adverse conditions and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in handling the accident and illness program.
• Conduct hazard and risk analyses.
• Ensure safety and health tasks are completed as scheduled and required.
• Submit regular safety reports to senior management.
• Assist with Workers' Compensation Program.
• Advise management and health departments on safety matters.
• Maintain accident records and investigate incidents.
• Conduct monthly safety training and plant inspections.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal safety laws.
• Assist in equipment design approvals and ergonomics programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
