Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Michigan seeks an experienced System Tests / SW development engineer to join our automotive testing team. You will work across multinational sites, supporting product issues, performing root-cause analysis, and ensuring ECUs and test benches are up to date.

The role requires embedded C and/or Linux development, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and willingness to travel to STLA or Marelli sites as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience in System Tests or SW development activities.
• Strong embedded C and/or Linux development skills.
• Experience with test and defect management tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the plant issues related to product.
• Lead joint debug session with customer.
• Ensure correct configuration of test cars and test benches with up-to-date ECUs.
• Support customer integration tests and defect tracking.
• Collect logs for issues found.
• First-level analysis for defects/parts from external customers.
• Travel to STLA or Marelli sites as needed.

Job description

• Support the plant issues related to product
• Lead joint debug session with customer
• Ensure the correct configuration of the test cars and test benches, with all the different ECUs up to date with the approved Customer SW / HW
• Support the Customer on integration tests of the different control units and support the Customer in the result analysis and in the defect tracking
• Collect Logs for the issues found
• Ensure a first level analysis for all defects/parts coming from external customers
• Analyze defects seen on customer sites
• Be the R&D referent for residents in Customer plants, and ensure the proper spread of information
• SW reflash if required
• Support Development team with the root cause analysis
• Support administrative activities related within customer process
• Participate in the meetings with other suppliers if needed in order to maximize the effectiveness in problem solving also in terms of time
• Ability travel to other STLA or Marelli Sites if needed

Education

• Electronic Engineering Degree, Information Science Degree

Experiences

• At least 3 years-experience in System Tests or SW development activities.
