Job summary

Glen-Gery seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for its Rocky Ridge, MD plant. You will oversee safety, maintenance planning, and equipment repairs, coordinating with plant managers and office staff to keep the facility running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on leadership, expertise in predictive maintenance, and the ability to manage spare parts, budgeting, and external contractors to maximize uptime and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory maintenance & plant engineering in heavy industry.
• BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC and robotics preferred.
• Experience coordinating maintenance with contractors and production staff.
• Hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate plant safety, design, construction, maintenance and improvement of the products, equipment and plant.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and oversee repair of robotic, automated, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
• Optimize equipment availability and maintenance cost; safeguard assets with plant manager.
• Create and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Supervise maintenance staff and promote training.
• Oversee retrofits and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
• Prepare and maintain short and long-range maintenance budgets.
• Maintain spare parts inventory.
• Ensure pollution control standards and assist in permits procurement.
