Job summary

Hydrite Chemical Co. is seeking a Reliability Engineer to ensure facility and equipment reliability, drive safety and continuous improvement, and optimize maintenance programs at the Cottage Grove plant.

You will develop maintenance criteria, work with CMMS Maximo, and support regulatory compliance while reducing costs. The role emphasizes collaboration with operations and maintenance teams, design and inspection of installations, and communication of KPI data to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of chemical/food processing or manufacturing experience with supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems; Maximo preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a reliability strategy for critical equipment or systems.
• Define, develop, and maintain asset maintenance plan and Mechanical Integrity.
• Inspect new installations for specifications and recommend modifications.
• Support site Mechanical Integrity element owners and related programs.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to reduce costs.
• Utilize CMMSMaximo and Delta-V PI to improve maintenance efficiency.
• Communicate maintenance/reliability KPIs to evaluate equipment life and performance.
• Investigate failures and root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Develop preventative maintenance schedules and monitor effectiveness.
