Job summary

Drax Group is seeking a Reliability Engineer at the Aliceville pellet plant in Alabama to improve asset reliability and drive operational excellence. You will lead reliability initiatives, work with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, and help implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve safety.

The role reports to the Plant Manager and focuses on data-driven improvements, outage support, and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Experience in reliability, maintenance, or asset management within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and reliability engineering principles.
• Experience using CMMS systems and maintenance performance data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability improvement initiatives across the plant.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Support outage planning and major maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with plant teams to improve asset performance and operational efficiency.
• Monitor reliability KPIs and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with standards.
