Job summary

Comprehensive Logistics Co. Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Quality Liaison to join our team.

The role focuses on communicating quality and material flow with customers, performing root-cause analysis, and ensuring process compliance through regular audits across the logistics service environment. The ideal candidate will have automotive sequencing experience at a Tier 1 or 3PL, a bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a business related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience.
  • Automotive experience in a high-volume sequencing environment at a Tier 1 or 3PL.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with the customer and CLI by coordinating quality and material flow effectively in order to minimize or eliminate customer disruptions.
  • Develop relationships with customer personnel to allow CLI to present their case on potential issues.
  • Possess a strong understanding of CLI processes to represent CLI on the spot when issues occur.
  • Ensure process compliance by conducting daily/weekly audits; carrier compliance, trailer safety, sequencing racks, PRM, ISO, GMS, GM financial, quality spill and other plant-related audits involving logistics services to meet customer expectations.
  • Audit material storage areas for correct sequence and availability for use on the line.
  • Monitor customer safety stock to ensure material is available to protect the plant from supplier quality issues or sequencing errors.
  • Maintain daily customer key indicators via the daily liaison report to meet customer expectations.
  • Train employees on the job to ensure conformity.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams driving the Continuous Improvement Process.
  • Have knowledge of commodity locations, material flow, and window times.
  • Attend Plant Team Meetings with the customer and relay line-side comments and suggestions.
  • Keep proper documentation and records.

  • Develop relationships with customer personnel to allow CLI to present their case on potential issues.
  • Possess a strong understanding of CLI processes to represent CLI on the spot when issues occur.
  • Ensure process compliance by conducting daily/weekly audits; carrier compliance, trailer safety, sequencing racks, Proof of Delivery Process Risk Management (PRM), ISO, GMS, GM financial, quality spill and other plant-related audits involving logistics services in order to meet customers expectations.
  • Randomly Audit material storage areas for correct sequence arrangement and availability for use on the line.
  • Monitor customer safety stock to ensure that material is available in an effort to protect the plant from supplier quality issues or potential sequencing errors.
  • Facilitate and monitor the delivery of safety stock in a timely manner.
  • Maintain daily customer key indicators by using the daily liaison report in order to meet customer expectations.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of customer processes so that any variance from such can be utilized in root cause analysis of any issue that may potentially be charged to CLI.
  • Train employees by conducting on the job training in order to ensure employee conformance.
  • Involved in Multi-disciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams that directly drives the company's Continuous Improvement Process and Policies
  • Have knowledge of commodity locations, material flow, and window times
  • Perform a line-side walkthrough
  • Attend Plant Team Meetings with the customer
  • Relay line-side customer comments and suggestions
  • Keep proper documentation and records

Requirements:

  • Preferred Bachelor degree in a business related field or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE IN A HIGH VOLUME SEQUENCING ENVIRONMENT AT A TIER 1 OR 3PL.
  • Basic understanding of customer material and quality systems is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
