Management Performance Associates seeks a Plant Quality Lead to oversee quality activities and lead the Quality Engineering team in a Michigan facility. You will ensure compliance with customer requirements, IATF 16949, and internal goals while driving continuous improvement across operations and engineering.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, and cross-functional collaboration to elevate plant quality performance and prevent defects.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of quality experience in automotive manufacturing or supplier settings.
• Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or people-management experience.
• Experience leading and developing Quality Engineers.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
• Experience managing customer quality issues, audits, and corrective actions.
• Hands-on leadership with floor presence; excellent communication and organization.
• Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, supervise, coach, and develop the plant Quality Engineering team.
• Set priorities, assign responsibilities, and monitor performance.
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet customer and internal requirements.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System per IATF 16949 and customer needs.
• Lead customer complaints, corrective actions, and 8D responses.
• Drive root cause analysis and prevent recurrence.
• Oversee APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA activities.
• Monitor quality metrics such as PPM, scrap, rework, and cost of poor quality.
• Lead internal, external, and customer audits.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering on process improvements.
• Communicate performance and improvement initiatives to plant leadership.
