The Plant Quality Lead is responsible for overseeing all quality activities at the manufacturing facility and developing the Quality Engineering team. This role ensures compliance with customer requirements, IATF 16949, and internal quality objectives while driving cross-functional improvements with Operations and Engineering.

It requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of automotive quality systems, and a hands-on approach on the shop floor to reduce defects and improve overall plant quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years quality experience in automotive manufacturing or supplier environment.
• Minimum 2–3 years supervisory or direct people-management experience.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive customer requirements.
• Experience leading audits and implementing corrective actions.

Responsabilités

• Lead, supervise, coach, and develop the plant Quality Engineering team.
• Oversee daily quality activities and ensure processes meet requirements.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System per IATF 16949.
• Lead customer complaints, corrective actions, and 8D responses.
• Drive root cause analysis and preventive actions to stop defects.
• Oversee APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA activities.
• Monitor metrics such as customer PPM, scrap, and cost of poor quality.
• Lead internal and external audits and partner on process improvements.
