Job summary

Forvia is hiring an experienced Plant Quality Engineer to join our Clean Mobility Plant in Louisville, KY. You will act as the Quality Manager's delegate, ensuring production compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements while maintaining validated control plans.

You will lead the deployment of the 8 Quality Basics, conduct daily line walks, oversee PPAPs and support root-cause investigations using 8D and 5Why. Strong communication and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
1–5 years of automotive industry experience.
1–5 years of quality experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willing to travel to visit and support customers.

Responsibilities

Act as Quality Manager’s delegate, aligning with site and customer priorities.
Ensure production compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
Lead deployment of the 8 Quality Basics and conduct daily line walks.
Coordinate disposition of nonconforming products and maintain records.
Lead investigations using 8D, Ishikawa, 5Why and QRCI.
Represent Forvia in quality matters during customer interactions and ECC meetings.
Develop and maintain quality specs, control plans, SPC and testing standards.
Facilitate training on inspection methods and quality procedures.
