Job summary

The PLT QA Engineer at Continental supports the QA Engineering Group Leader or Manager by applying enhanced statistical and engineering QA methods at the plant. Responsibilities include initiating and prioritizing process improvements, monitoring KPIs, leading projects, drafting PFMEA and Control Plans, and training personnel in QA matters.

The role emphasizes safety compliance and adherence to plant rules, with a focus on continuous quality enhancement and collaboration across production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We may offer visa sponsorship.
• This position may offer relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and prioritizes process improvement activities such as Structured Problem-Solving (A3), Training, Auditing, DoE, Benchmarking, and Gage R&R with improvement recommendations.
• Monitors and analyzes plant and department KPIs such as Scrap I-IV.
• Lead or participate in projects for plant and process improvements.
• Draft, publish, institute, and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, and Work Instructions.
• Perform capability and variability studies with recommendations for improvement.
• Audit quality performance levels of assigned production departments.
• Conduct training of plant personnel on QA related matters.
