Job summary

Ajulia Executive Search is seeking a Plant Project Manager for their facility in South Carolina. Job description

Are you looking for an opportunity to coordinate large-scale manufacturing and construction-related projects within a fast-paced production environment? This Plant Project Manager role focuses on overseeing project planning, production coordination, scheduling, materials management, and contractor communication to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and on schedule. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys project coordination, production operations, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration within industrial manufacturing or construction materials environments.

Responsibilities
  • Attend backlog and production planning meetings while maintaining visibility into production schedules and delivery commitments
  • Review project scope, specifications, and drawings to identify production requirements, risks, and sequencing needs
  • Coordinate drawing revisions and change orders with engineering and production teams
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with contractors throughout production and manufacturing activities
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and sequencing requirements with contractors and shipping teams
  • Order raw materials and coordinate fabrication activities to support production schedules
  • Generate and maintain daily production schedules and backlog reports
  • Confirm production readiness including materials, labor, forms, drawings, and quality requirements
  • Coordinate closely with production, quality control, shipping, and delivery teams to ensure project success
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues related to scheduling, materials, labor, or quality concerns
  • Maintain accurate production status reporting and project documentation
  • Support load planning, shipment timing, and special delivery requirements
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree or technical training preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field highly preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, industrial manufacturing, or production project coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, specifications, and production documentation
  • Experience with production scheduling, backlog management, and materials coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively across production, engineering, quality, and shipping departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP or production systems experience preferred
