Job summary

Dauch Corporation in Gallatin, TN is seeking a Plant Project Engineer to drive equipment installations, upgrades and plant engineering support at our Gallatin facility. You will manage capital projects, coordinate with engineering, and ensure safe, efficient operation of production lines.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical or civil/structural engineering degree and 3–5 years of project engineering experience in heavy industry, with knowledge of plant construction practices and OSHA/EPA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 3–5 years of project engineering experience in heavy industrial settings.
• Knowledge of general plant construction practices and equipment installation.
• Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Streamline Project Management workflows and FEL studies.
• Work with Engineering for capital project development; bid evaluation; project scheduling and coordination; installation and debugging.
• Analyze repetitive equipment failures and design solutions to reduce maintenance costs and evaluate alternatives.
• Assess the needs for equipment replacements and establish replacement programs when due.
• Assess required maintenance tools and skills required for efficient maintenance of equipment.
• Assess and report safety hazards associated with all plant equipment (maintenance and production).
• Implementation of designs or practice changes, through hands-on involvement
• All other duties as assigned.
