Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is hiring a General Laborer to perform a variety of plant duties, including stacking, feeding, and assisting machine operators. The role also covers cleaning, loading trucks, and reporting time and quality checks. Training will be provided, and supervision is readily available on site.

You will train across positions, support production, and have opportunities for wage advancement after qualification. Overtime is mandatory as required by production needs.

Qualifications

• No previous plant experience necessary.
• Typically requires less than one month to become fully competent on the job.
• Must pass a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds repetitively and up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per shift.
• Overtime is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Train to perform various positions, including stacking and feeding.
• Assist machine operators to keep orders running smoothly and provide coverage when operators are absent.
• Earn a higher wage once trained and qualified.
• Perform general duties such as off-bearing or catching and stacking from machines.
• Bundling, banding, sweeping and cleaning machines.
• Loading trucks and performing quality inspection.
• Report time and production on required sheets and notify supervisor of irregularities.
