Parker Plastics, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Production Manager to lead the Maryland plant's operations. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong scheduling skills, and a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

You will oversee production supervisors and a large team, drive improvements in efficiency, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance. The position offers growth opportunities within a growing plastics manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; non-degreed candidates may be considered with applicable knowledge.
• 5+ years in production/manufacturing, preferably in plastics/blow molding.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, 5S, problem solving, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team including 4 direct reports and 125 indirects, balancing staffing and production needs.
• Lead scheduling to meet customer needs while maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, SQF, GMP and IMS; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs, adjust plans, and manage training and employee development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business goals and safety standards.
