Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a Plant Production Associate for a hands-on, 1st shift position in Oberlin, OH. This full-time role supports plant production, order preparation, shipping, and general facility operations as part of a team.

Candidates should enjoy physical work, be reliable, and able to follow instructions. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous nursery, manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and push/pull carts weighing up to 200 lbs.
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in hot or cold temperatures and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plant and pot seedlings and plants.
• Fill, label, organize, and move trays and products.
• Prepare and assemble customer orders for shipment.
• Attach hangers to baskets and move products using ladders.
• Move plants and materials using carts.
• Load and unload trucks and conveyor systems.
• Lift up to 20 lbs and push/pull up to 200 lbs.
• Assist with irrigation systems and water lines.
• Use basic hand tools such as shovels and clippers.
• Clean and maintain work areas, buildings, and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures.
