Job summary

Ball Corporation seeks a Superintendent, Plant Process (Front End) to supervise and drive maintenance process optimization in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. You will lead a process team to boost safety, quality, and productivity while reducing costs, and coordinate training for production equipment.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, 5+ years of related experience, and a broad understanding of production processes and equipment.

Qualifications

• Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college degree level education or work-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• 5+ years of job-related experience.
• Knowledge of production processes, equipment specifications and technology, and generally accepted supervisory practices.
• Ability to apply intensive evaluation and modification of standard plant production and warehousing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety system.
• Establish maintenance procedures on equipment, including planning, budgeting, execution, and periodic review.
• Apply knowledge of the functional area to conduct system and process analyses and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in designing and overseeing new systems and processes to improve plant performance in safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Coordinate and apply maintenance techniques to monitor and reduce maintenance and repair costs.
• Arrange for maintenance of adequate supplies, materials, and parts to prevent operational interruptions.
• Arrange for training of employees in proper maintenance programs and procedures for plant production equipment.
