Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC in Starkville, MS is hiring a Process Optimization Manager to lead process engineering, quality, tool & die management, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will coach teams, apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste and improve OEE, material usage, and quality, while maintaining the Quality Management System and certifications.

The role supports successful product introductions with APQP/PPAP, and drives cost-out programs to lower plant costs annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Possess or working towards Six Sigma Black Belt.
• 5–7 years of experience in process engineering/optimization, quality.
• Masters of Engineering preferred.
• Specialized in process engineering/continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Processing Engineering team.
• Train and employ Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to lead process improvement projects to meet OEE, material usage, scrap, and quality goals.
• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure ISO 9001, UL, and other certifications are met.
• Ensure successful implementation of new products using APQP and PPAP.
• Lead a systematic cost reduction program targeting annual plant cost reductions.
• Own the Cost Out pipeline of projects with 10% annual cost reduction target.
