Job summary

Dyno Nobel Inc. is seeking a Plant Process Engineer to drive process technology improvements for safety and profitability across Dyno Nobel Americas.

You will work with operations to design, execute, and implement growth projects on time and within budget, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and HSE rules. The role requires 10+ years in explosives manufacturing, knowledge of ammonium nitrate processes, and the ability to travel as needed across North America; autocad and SolidWorks

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
10+ years in explosives manufacturing and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of ammonium nitrate-based explosives manufacturing.
Proficient reading of P&ID/PFD and general arrangement drawings.
Willingness to travel across North America with a valid passport.
Must live within 1 hour of a major airport.

Responsibilities

Support identification, evaluation and execution of process tech improvements to enhance safety and profitability.
Lead design, execution and implementation of growth projects on time and within budget.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and HSE regulations for explosives manufacturing.
Provide process tech support from concept through commissioning and verification.
Conduct operational tests to confirm designs meet specifications and improve plant efficiency.
Develop and review project scopes, budgets and capital expenditure requests.
