Job summary

Rust-Oleum is seeking a Plant Process Engineer to control internal processes for polyurethane products, protective paints, and coatings. You will define and analyze manufacturing processes for blending and filling operations to improve quality, safety, and efficiency on the production floor.

You will work with Operations, Safety, Maintenance, Controls, and Leadership to troubleshoot processes, execute projects, and make the plant safer, more reliable, and more efficient.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in project and people management.
• Strong initiative and process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety procedures for workers operating equipment near chemical reactions.
• Troubleshoot problems in chemical manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate equipment and processes for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct research to develop improved chemical manufacturing processes.
• Determine effective arrangement of operations such as mixing, distillation, drying.
• Monitor process performance and control variables (temperature, pressure, etc.).
• Design and plan equipment layouts and capital projects.
