Job summary

Rust-Oleum Corporation seeks a Plant Process Engineer to manage polyurethane product manufacturing, improving safety, quality and efficiency on the production floor. You will define and analyze blending and filling processes, collaborate with Operations, Safety, Maintenance, and Leadership, and drive continuous improvement projects.

The role requires strong process management, leadership and communication skills, with a BS in Chemical Engineering and 2+ years of engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Strong process management and leadership abilities required.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety procedures for operation and near-reactive processes.
• Troubleshoot chemical manufacturing processes and optimize performance.
• Evaluate equipment and processes for safety and environmental compliance.
• Conduct research to improve manufacturing processes and integrations.
• Plan layout and sequence of operations like mixing, distillation, and drying.
• Monitor production variables and report on process control.
• Prepare production cost estimates and progress reports for management.
• Execute projects to improve processes and capital expenditures.
