Qualifications

• Two years of college-level coursework in plant pathology, molecular biology, genetics or microbiology with one year of related experience.
• Experience in a research laboratory and/or field setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing field plots at COAREC and grower locations.
• Plant and soil sample collection.
• Collect field measurements and data.
• Process and analyze samples in the laboratory.
• Perform DNA extractions, PCR/qPCR, prepare samples for sequencing.
• Manage data, logs, quality control, and file organization.
