Job summary

Oregon State University is seeking a Biological Sciences Technician 1 for the North Willamette Research & Extension Center in Corvallis. This part-time role (approximately 20 hours per week) supports lab and field research under supervision of the program lead, performing data entry, insect rearing, and data collection.

Outdoor work in all weather conditions, ability to lift 25 lbs, and a flexible schedule. Anticipated start date 2026-10-12 with end date 2027-10-12.

Qualifications

• Two years of college-level courses in Horticulture/Crop Science/Agronomy/Soil Science/Botany or Biology/Natural Resources; or equivalent training/experience.
• Competence with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience working on a farm.
