Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Plant Operator (Tech) in North Dakota to manage plant operations, monitor gauges, perform maintenance support, and uphold safety and PSMS standards in all weather. The role requires driving, outdoor work, overtime, and passing pre-employment testing.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to overtime and be on call when scheduled.
• Must effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and staff.
• Position designated as safety sensitive / safety critical per ExxonMobil policy.

Responsibilities

• Record plant gauges, dials, pressures, temperatures, and other shift data.
• Assist maintenance and I&E technicians with routine and major projects.
• Ensure compliance with operating procedures and safety regulations.
• Prepare monthly/daily environmental, safety, downtime and plant-logs reports.
• Inspect and maintain plant equipment; communicate issues to supervisors.
• Start/stop operation of compressors and process skids.
• Maintain general housekeeping of operating and idle equipment.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of plant and systems.
• Adhere to PSMS and ExxonMobil safety expectations.
