Job summary

Synagro is hiring a plant operator in Woonsocket, RI to inspect, maintain, and control process equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operation. The role involves operating heavy equipment and performing field tasks to meet permit and product standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years’ plant operations experience, with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in plant operations or as an operator.
• Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control plant operations per policies and SOPs.
• Maintain records of plant operations and data.
• Ensure facility operates within permit compliance and design capability.
• Participate in training programs within the time frame allotted.
• Perform general work or other assignments to ensure safe, clean, and efficient operation of the facility.
• Enforce and maintain standard safety procedures and keep the work area clean at all times.
• Perform fire guard duty and confined space watch.
• Operate truck/equipment in a safe manner at all times.
• Load, unload, and timely delivery of material to approved destinations.
• Travel between job sites; overnight travel may be required.
• Clean bio-solids off truck/equipment in the field.
