Job summary

Montauk Renewables in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Plant Operator to participate in the operation and maintenance of a landfill gas processing plant under the Facility Manager, with a focus on safety and environmental integrity while maintaining production.

The role requires 3+ years of equipment operations experience, knowledge of PLCs, and strong teamwork; duties include daily logs, preventive maintenance, inspections, and coordinating with landfill technicians.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years' equipment operations experience using mechanical, electrical, instrument or control system skills.
• High School or GED; technical training school.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.
• Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.
• Ability to interact positively and effectively in a team environment.
• Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
• Flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair plant equipment daily.
• Maintain logs and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Inspect and overhaul equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with landfill technicians for safe gas extraction.
• Oversee subcontractors during equipment service and overhaul.
