Job summary

Montauk Renewables is seeking a Plant Operator in Cincinnati, OH to participate in the operation and maintenance of a landfill gas processing plant under the Facility Manager. The role emphasizes safety, environmental integrity, and maximizing production.

Candidates should bring 3+ years of equipment operations experience with mechanical, electrical, instrument, or control systems, plus a high school diploma or GED and PLC knowledge. Excellent teamwork and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' equipment operations experience using mechanical, electrical, instrument or control system skills.
• High School or GED; technical training school.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.
• Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.
• Ability to interact positively and effectively in a team environment.
• Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
• Flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain landfill gas processing plant under supervision of the Facility Manager.
• Keep daily logs, perform preventive maintenance, and meet reporting requirements.
• Inspect and overhaul equipment and assist with troubleshooting and diagnoses.
• Collaborate with landfill technicians to extract landfill gas safely and efficiently.
• Oversee subcontractors during equipment service work and overhaul activities as needed.
