Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED certification.
• 3+ years of operations, manufacturing, industrial or similar experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• The production process is automated, so computer knowledge is desirable.
• Must speak, read and write English at the needed level to safely and effectively perform all aspects of the job.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with changes or unexpected events.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Takes an active role in the safety program by following safety procedures, and report / rectify any unsafe conditions.
• Manages throughput (production targets) and produces product within quality specifications.
• Monitors and troubleshoots process equipment.
• Performs basic preventive and routine maintenance on the process equipment.
• Assists with training and development of team members.
• Improves plant operations by formulating opinions for improvements and sharing them with the shift supervisor.
• Serves as an excellent safety champion actively promoting Vista’s safety process at all times(a Company ambassador).
