Vista Minerals in Texas seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate backhoes, loaders, excavators, dozers and other heavy equipment. The role emphasizes safety, production targets, and strong on-site leadership.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, log maintenance needs, and lead on safety while coordinating with field crews. Outdoor work in varied weather with standard PPE is required and overtime/shift work may occur.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating heavy mobile equipment in mining.
• Knowledge of safe and productive operation of Cat equipment.
• Valid Class C driver’s license or higher.
• Ability to lead safety aspects of the position.
• Operate with field crew and ensure safety of personnel and equipment.
• Knowledge of safe work practices around heavy equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather and dusty environments.

Responsabilités

• Operates haul trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, excavators and other equipment to meet production targets.
• Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and logs assessments.
• Maintains equipment and reports maintenance needs.
• Completes production reporting and related documentation.
• Communicates professionally with team members and acts as safety/production leader.
• Represents the company as an ambassador and safety champion on site.
• Performs other duties as required.
