Job summary

Plum Point Energy Station is a 680 net MW coal-fired power plant located approximately 50 miles north of Memphis near Osceola, Arkansas. The Plant Operator is responsible for monitoring the status of all plant systems and equipment on a continuous basis.

The role requires responding to alarms, ensuring safe and efficient operation, and performing routine maintenance while maintaining clear logs and reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years' experience in plant operations or a related field required.
• Requires operation of a motor vehicle; valid Driver's License required.
• Associate degree in a technical field desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the status of all plant systems and equipment on a continuous basis.
• Respond to alarms by taking corrective actions and follow startup/shutdown procedures.
• Operate, test, inspect, and maintain equipment related to the electrical generation facility.
• Write and maintain equipment logs, operating logs and other reports clearly and professionally.
• Maintain readings, records and reports and participate in preventative and corrective maintenance.

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Associate degree in a technical field desirable
