Plant Operators - Johnston Land Fill Gas to Electric Plant - Up to $29/hr - Youngstown, OH

Archaea Energy is seeking Plant Operators for their Johnston Land Fill Gas to Electric Plant. This role involves the safe operation, maintenance, and performance of reciprocating engines in a landfill gas-fueled power plant. Ideal candidates will have 1-5 years of relevant experience and a strong dedication to safety and compliance.

What You’ll Need

• 1-5 years of operation and maintenance experience on mobile or stationary engine generator sets up to 1500kW
• Ability to read and interpret operations and safety manuals
• Basic troubleshooting and repair skills for plant equipment
• Digital literacy (Word, Excel, PLC, email systems)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, crouch, bend, kneel for extended periods, and work in loud and hot environments
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Pre-employment drug test and background check required

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Experience with CAT G3500 and G3600 gas engines or similar piston engines
