Job summary

The Chemours Company is hiring a Plant Operator for the Nahunta, GA location. The role oversees mining and mineral processing facilities operating around the clock, ensuring safety, compliance, and peak plant performance.

The operator will monitor equipment, collect data, and coordinate with maintenance and mining supervision. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, English literacy, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read specifications with basic math.

Qualifications

• Must read and write English.
• Must read and comprehend detailed specifications and basic math.
• Mechanical aptitude required for operating and maintaining plant equipment.
• Ability to work with a team and exhibit good people skills.
• Previous processing plant experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate mining and processing facilities according to regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Record accurate product, process and safety data; monitor plant performance.
• Identify and troubleshoot process deviations; perform preventive maintenance.
• Improve plant performance and SOP adherence through proactive actions.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure alignment with plant and business goals.
• Provide supplemental labor to support mining and maintenance teams.
