Job summary

Chemours is seeking a Plant Operator for the Nahunta, GA location to oversee mining and mineral processing facilities operating 24/7. The role involves monitoring equipment, maintaining safety and compliance, and communicating process improvements to the team.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, data recording, and supporting maintenance activities. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, with strong teamwork and mechanical aptitude preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/equivalent.
• Ability to read and write the English language.
• Valid Drivers' License with clean driving record.
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed specifications, including computer graphical user interface and basic math ability, mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work with a team, possess good people skills.
• Previous processing plant experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor mining/processing equipment to ensure safe, efficient plant performance.
• Record accurate product, process and safety data; monitor process variables (levels, temperatures, pressures, flow).
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Support safety initiatives and compliance with SOPs; act as a safety leader.
• Coordinate with Mine Manager, Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Coordinator on plant operations.
• Assist with duties as required by Mining Superintendent and Engineering & Maintenance Superintendent.
