Texas State University Facilities Services is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to monitor and control electrical power, chilled water, and steam in campus plants. You will use terminals to operate equipment, maintain logs, and support automated operation while adhering to safety and energy efficiency standards.
The role requires knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, experience with INSIGHT, DESIGO, IoT, and BACnet, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues.
Plant Operations maintains coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, Sunday through Saturday. Plant Operator work hours may vary, and candidates must be available to work any of the three shifts. Regular shift rotation may occur based on operational needs. Shifts may also be changed occasionally to support Plant Operations. Applicants must be available to work holidays and additional hours as needed.
