Job summary

ONEOK, Inc. is seeking a Plant Operator to safely and efficiently process natural gas and NGLs. You will operate compressors, engines, turbines, pumps, and DCS systems, monitor conditions, and support startups and shutdowns while maintaining safety and environmental records.

You will also assist with maintenance prep, participate in safety reporting, and help train less experienced operators. This role follows a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of compressor station, storage field, gathering field, and/or processing plant operations
• Knowledge of computers and ability to perform basic functions using company software
• Knowledge of gas and liquid processing fundamentals
• Knowledge of applicable company and governmental operating practices and procedures
• Knowledge of safe handling of flammable gases, liquids, and high-pressure systems
• Ability to analyze, adjust, and perform minor repairs on equipment
• Ability to read drawings, diagrams, logs, gauges, charts, procedures and manuals
• Ability to maintain safety/environmental records and logs

Responsibilities

• Operate processing plant equipment and monitor operating conditions
• Start, stop and operate equipment and assist with maintenance preparation
• Assist mechanics in repairs and report safety/environmental concerns
• Maintain logs, time sheets, and equipment records
• Drive and ensure maintenance on company vehicles
• Follow DOT procedures and respond to hazardous conditions
