Job summary

Northern Gulf Services, a renewable fuel logistics and distribution company along the Gulf coast, seeks a part-time Plant Operator in Mandeville, LA. Primary duties include delivering and repairing bins, processing used cooking oil, and supporting plant operations.

The role emphasizes field maintenance, safety protocols, and inventory control, with 24–28 hours per week at $18.00–$21.00 per hour. Flexible schedule and upward mobility are noted in benefits.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B License preferred.
• Tanker Endorsement optional.
• 1–3 years of Class B driving experience preferred.
• 1–3 years in a plant operations role preferred.
• Maintenance or mechanical aptitude required/preferred.
• Handyman skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain plant processing operations, including offloading, processing and outbound load procedures.
• Diagnose, repair and install internal pump systems at facilities that produce UCO.
• Assist with plant maintenance, upgrades and equipment tracking.
• Support safety protocols and reporting systems for oil inventory and tools.
• Keep plant and yard in good working order and ensure processes follow guidelines.
• Assist Market Director with supervision, growth and improvement of the plant.
• Maintain bin inventory, perform bin cleaning and minor repairs.
• Clean trucks and report concerns to location management.
