Job summary

Russell Standard in Mercer, PA, is seeking a Plant Operator to support asphalt emulsions manufacturing operations at the outdoor plant. You will open/close valves, perform preventive maintenance, inspect tanks, troubleshoot plant systems, weigh trucks, and load emulsion trucks while maintaining strict safety practices.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and 2 years of related production or oil & gas experience or a mechanical/industrial trade program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Solid math and reading skills, and the ability to understand technical manuals.
• Two (2) years production/maintenance experience OR oil and gas industry experience OR completion of mechanical/industrial trade school program.
• Aptitude for learning new tasks and skills.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes valves for product transfers.
• Performs general preventative maintenance of pump and valve systems.
• Operates equipment.
• Inspects tanks periodically.
• Troubleshoots mechanics of plant systems.
• Weighs trucks, pre- and post-loading.
• Loads emulsion trucks.
• General Labor.
• Follows all safety policies and practices.
• All other duties as assigned.
