Job summary

Feed Energy is hiring for an Operator role in Sioux City, IA. The position follows a 5 PM–5 AM 2-2-3 schedule, with training on a 2 PM–10 PM Sunday-Thursday basis for about 3 months before shift.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour plus a $1.60 shift differential, with eligibility for quarterly bonuses and a full benefits package. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong computer skills (Outlook, PIMS, Word, Excel), and the ability to read/write English and perform basic math.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to operate computer systems including Microsoft Outlook, PIMS, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Follows all standard operating procedures during daily operations.
• Follows safety rules by inspecting safety equipment and maintaining safety standards.
• Prepares machinery for operation.
• Keeps records and logs associated with operations of the plant.
• Operates valves and pumps to move products between tanks.
• Monitors temperatures and pH of products and processing times.
• Monitors product for quality and takes samples as required.
• Unloads and loads trailers and rail cars.
• Operates shag tractor to spot trailers.
• Performs housekeeping duties as assigned.
