Plant Operator 2 - Cylinder Prep Tech

Job Description
The Plant Operator 2 (Cylinder Prep) processes previous service gas cylinders in preparation for new gas production. The Technician operates equipment within the cylinder preparation area, following Airgas standard procedures to empty and prepare cylinders. Responsibilities include safety, product quality, productivity, sorting cylinders, scraping labels, painting, inspecting, installing valves, operating equipment, maintaining inventory, loading/unloading trucks, and supporting safety and ISO programs.

Responsibilities include:

• Sorting and evaluating incoming cylinders
• Moving cylinders within the facility
• Label removal, painting, and coating
• Visual inspection and valve installation
• Operating equipment like vacuum pumps and manifolds
• Maintaining inventory and organized yard
• Loading/unloading trucks and equipment maintenance
• Supporting safety and quality programs

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, basic math, proficiency with MS Office, ability to read and interpret documents, ability to move cylinders, work in a team, and work all shifts.

Physical Demands:Standing, using hands and arms, lifting up to 50 pounds, and good vision abilities.
