Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Operator to safely and efficiently operate production facilities near San Antonio, TX. You will assist with scheduling deliveries and support the Production Manager in daily tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and monitoring conveyors, shakers, crushers, and pumps.

Travel and overnight stays may be required for training, with accommodations provided for travel over 50 miles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of aggregate/mining plant operations.
• Experience with a variety of hand tools.
• Experience with operation of heavy mining/construction equipment.
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, weekends, overtime and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently per training and manuals.
• Follow MSHA and plant safety rules and procedures.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections on systems and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service equipment.
• Assist with plant maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain good housekeeping of plant and equipment.
