Job summary

Imerys in the United States is seeking a Plant Operator to support safe, efficient milling operations and maintain continuous flow. You will read quality specifications, monitor equipment, and ensure optimal throughput in a manufacturing setting.

Under MSHA and company policies you will document data, perform tests, adjust equipment, and report repairs. This full-time role requires adherence to procedures and teamwork in a production environment to ensure consistent product quality.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Imerys, MSHA and Equipment Manufacturing Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Read quality specification.
• Observe operation of equipment to ensure continuity of flow, safety, and efficient operation, and to detect malfunctions.
• Move controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment that crushes and grinds materials.
• Record data from operations, testing, and production on specified forms and complete required forms.
• Examine materials products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards.
• Perform tests applicable for process or product being produced, set mill gauges to specified fineness of grind.
• Clean and adjust equipment using hand tools.
• Notify supervisors of needed repairs.
• Rocognize defective products and readjust equipment to eliminate problems.
• Able to understand and follow mill work instructions to ensure proper workflow and finished goods.
• Able to climb up and down stairs/ladders and maneuver around equipment and tight spaces.
• Any other job duties assigned by management.
