You will perform equipment operation, material handling, quality checks, and basic maintenance under supervision. This safety-sensitive role involves a rotating 12-hour shift, strict adherence to procedures, data entry in Excel, and collaboration with production, maintenance, and engineering

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work 12-hour rotating shifts.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry in Excel.
  • Willingness to learn and cross-train in process areas.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment following SOPs and work instructions.
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment for safe production.
  • Move products and materials using forklift.
  • Record production data in Excel and internal systems.
  • Perform routine housekeeping and maintain clean work areas.
  • Follow safety policies and promote safe practices.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor process issues with maintenance.
  • Support cross-functional teams to improve reliability.

Summary

The Production Operator supports the safe, efficient operation of the production process and equipment used in the manufacture of LSPI's flow-improver products. Production Operators perform a range of production activities including equipment operation, material handling, quality checks, and basic equipment care in accordance with established procedures, safety standards, and production requirements. Incumbents contribute to consistent product quality and reliable plant operations through effective execution, communication, and coordination across plant functions. Works under the supervision of the Shift Foreman. Role may include other duties as assigned. This is a safety sensitive position working a rotating 12-hour shift.

We offer a competitive, non-negotiable starting wage of $20.00 per hour for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment and execute processes in accordance with authorized operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment to support safe and efficient production operations.
  • Handle and move products and materials using forklift equipment.
  • Follow established procedures and work instructions related to each process area; provide input for improvements as appropriate.
  • Accurately record production data using Microsoft Excel and other internal systems.
  • Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures; ensure equipment is operated safely and promote safe work practices in all activities.
  • Ensure product quality by performing sampling and testing process streams, interpreting results, and taking appropriate corrective action when required.
  • Identify and troubleshoot causes of non-conforming products; coordinate with appropriate personnel to resolve issues.
  • Support process reliability and performance by identifying issues and participating in improvement efforts with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform basic equipment care, including inspections and minor maintenance; document activities and coordinate with maintenance specialists as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with plant personnel, including production, engineering, and maintenance; escalate equipment issues and communicate needs related to maintenance and spare parts.
  • Participate in training and development activities to build technical and operational capability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to understand and follow technical instructions, procedures and safety requirements written in English.
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude related to equipment and process operations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately perform measurements, testing, and data entry.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify issues and take appropriate action within defined procedures.
  • Communication and coordination skills to effectively work across production, maintenance, and technical functions.
  • Ability to learn and apply new processes, systems, and technologies.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
  • Associate's degree or technical certification from an accredited school.
  • One or more years of experience working in an operating plant environment.
  • Experience operating a forklift.
  • Experience operating valves, gauging tanks, and/or performing maintenance on equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.
Job & Physical Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Work rotating 12-hour shifts and ability to do call out work.
  • Lift and carry loads of up to 50 lbs.
  • Climb various ladders and stairs to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment.
  • Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on even and uneven terrain.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
