Job summary

Western Midstream is seeking a Plant Operator for the ROTF Plant Operations team in Orla/Mentone, Texas. The role involves startup, shutdown, and routine operation of engines, compressors, stabilizers, exchangers, and control systems within a safety-conscious environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of oil stabilization or gas plant experience, familiarity with DeltaV/Wonderware, and strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with control room and field operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year oil stabilization, gas plant operations, and/or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas operations including processing facilities and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred.
• Minimum 1-year control room, control board operation, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of facility operating systems such as DeltaV, Wonderware.

Responsibilities

• Collect product samples to adjust processes and maintain specs.
• Perform minor maintenance of compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping and valves.
• Prepare maintenance orders and notify maintenance personnel of issues; generate daily production reports.

Our core assets provide services for customers in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the DJ Basin in northeastern Colorado, and the Powder River Basin in Northeast Wyoming. Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Southwest Wyoming.

Job Summary

This position is located in the Southern Region as a member of the ROTF Plant Operations team in Orla/Mentone, TX working for the Midstream Operation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
• Execute startup, shut down and operating procedures for engines, compressors, heaters, stabilization towers, exchangers, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves and alarms
• Collect product samples to make necessary process adjustments and maintain product specifications.
• Perform minor maintenance of compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping and valves
• Prepare maintenance orders and notify maintenance personnel of problem areas
  Generate daily production reports including liquid production, downtime, and gas volumes
• Monitor and maintain inlet and outlet volumes.
• Coordinate with control room, field operations and third-party interests as required.
• Complete assigned reports and logs
• Work irregular hours, outside, around heavy equipment, and in variable environmental conditions
• Monitor, maintain, and operate safety and fire protection systems
• Accomplish job responsibilities/duties in accordance with WES Core Values

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year Oil stabilization, gas plant operations, and/or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of oil and gas operations including a working knowledge of natural gas/oil processing facilities and related equipment is required
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment
  Computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred.
• Minimum 1-year control room, control board operation, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with facility operating systems such as DeltaV, Wonderware, etc.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Certifications/Licenses

• Candidate must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

Travel Requirements

• The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform the essential functions of the position, including safely lifting and moving equipment, climbing stairs, working around industrial equipment, and working outdoors in changing weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Schedule
Rotating 7/7 shift position including nights, weekends and holidays. Candidate must live within 75 miles of Orla/Mentone, TX.
