Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Plant Operator at the Rosser, Texas plant to support daily production and safety. You will be involved in preventive maintenance and operate within an MSHA-regulated environment to keep the plant running efficiently.

Key duties include operating and maintaining production equipment, performing inspections, and collaborating with the safety team to promote a safe, compliant workplace. Previous welding experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3 years of experience with equipment or plant maintenance.
• Experienced welder.
• Read and interpret schematics and manuals to understand the technical aspects of equipment and perform repairs accurately.
• Inspect and maintain production equipment such as conveyors and rollers.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition.
• Maintain preventative maintenance of production equipment and plant systems.
• Clean equipment and clear obstacles in work areas.
• Collaborate with team in safety committees and initiatives.
• Perform daily inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with plant staff and operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Plant Operator based out of our Rosser, Texas plant. In this role you will support positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Plant Operator, you will work on preventive maintenance to keep the plant running and meet daily production.

Day to Day

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance of production equipment and plant maintenance
• Cleans equipment, clears obstacles in work Environment
• Experienced welder
• Be involved with safety committee initiatives
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Perform daily workplace inspections to maintain safe work environment
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

About You

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive, Team-based attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Working Conditions and physical environment: While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
