Arcosa Aggregates seeks an Equipment Technician for our Conroe, Texas plant to help maintain safe, efficient operations. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and document findings to support production and safety compliance.

The role requires familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and the ability to work in shop and field environments. We value a reliable, team-focused attitude and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2-4 years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience with heavy equipment or diesel mechanics is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety awareness and follow MSHA safety regulations.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment including haul trucks, loaders, excavators, and dozers.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as fluid checks, filter changes, lubrication, and inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Maintain and repair plant equipment and document findings.
• Communicate equipment status with operators and supervisors.

Job description

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Technician to support maintenance operations in our Conroe, Texas plant located. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant systems by performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs. The Equipment Technician works with a team to support production and maintain compliance with MSHA safety standards.

Day to Day

• Promote safety awareness and follow all company and MSHA safety regulations
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment, including haul trucks, loaders, excavators, and dozers
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as fluid checks, filter changes, lubrication, and inspections
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and document findings
• Maintain and repair plant equipment as needed
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs
• Communicate effectively with operators and supervisors regarding equipment status
• Respond to equipment breakdowns in both shop and field environments
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Perform other duties as assigned

About You

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance

Working Conditions

Work is performed in both shop and outdoor mining environments. The role involves exposure to heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty conditions, and requires working around heavy equipment and performing physically demanding tasks.
