Job summary

Envirogen Group in Memphis, TN, is seeking a Plant Operator to support chemical processing and resin regeneration in our water treatment operations.

You’ll monitor valves, meters, and equipment, perform QA/QC on regenerated resins, document activities, and work with the team to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient processes.

This role requires a high school diploma, at least one year in industrial or water treatment ops, and a willingness to work variable shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in industrial or water treatment operations.
  • Familiarity with chemical processing operations is a plus.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery safely.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift to receive and move materials, tanks, resin, and chemicals.
  • Inspect tanks for damage and repair cosmetic defects.
  • Operate valves and controls to apply chemicals to resin and direct effluent per regeneration processes.
  • Monitor meters, gauges, pressures, and instrumentation during regeneration.
  • Perform QA/QC on regenerated resins through sampling and evaluation.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment; inform maintenance as needed.
  • Document all operational activities accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate with team and supervisors about operational issues.

Job description

Envirogen is a premier provider of innovative water and wastewater treatment solutions. Our team is dedicated to excellence, and we are currently looking for a skilled Plant Operator to join our operations.

As a Plant Operator, you will be at the forefront of our chemical processing operations, responsible for the regeneration of ion exchange resins used in water purification. Your responsibilities will include operating various equipment, monitoring operational processes, performing quality control, and maintaining accurate documentation of processing events.

Key responsibilities include
  • Operating forklift to receive and move all materials, including tanks, resin, and chemicals used in the Process Department
  • Inspecting tanks, identifying damage, and repairing cosmetic defects
  • Operating valves and other controls used to apply chemicals to resin and directs effluent waste to designated locations per documented regeneration processes.
  • Monitoring different meters, gauges, pressures, and other instrumentation during regeneration process.
  • Performing quality assurance/quality control on regenerated resins through sampling and evaluation
  • Trouble shoot and perform minor repairs on equipment, informs maintenance technician of needed maintenance or repairs
  • Documenting all operational activities accurately and promptly
  • Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any operational issues
