Position Purpose

  • Pay Rate: $17.72/Hour, paid bi-weekly.
  • Uniforms and work boots are provided free of charge.
  • Work Schedule: The facility operates 24/7 with a swing shift of 3.5 days on and 3.5 days off per week. Shifts are 12 hours, rotating bi-monthly from 1st to 2nd shift. Total hours per week are 40. Overtime is paid at time-and-a-half after 40 hours.

The Plant Associate will unload waste from vehicles, decontaminate vehicles, and stage waste for scanning and processing, ensuring safety and productivity.

Key Job Activities

  • Unload waste from incoming vehicles, separating non-autoclavable waste for incineration.
  • Stage waste on conveyor or stack for scanning in the Biotrack system.
  • Scan waste into the Biotrack system for recordkeeping.
  • Load waste into autoclave bins or incinerator hopper.
  • Place reusable containers on the decontamination line.
  • Operate tub wash and sprayer units, inspect and stack tubs for reuse.
  • Decontaminate vehicles, reload tubs, and ensure the cargo area is dry and free of liquids.
  • Maintain cleanliness, address spills, and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • Effective communication and adherence to safety protocols.
  • 0-1 years of experience, preferably in a plant environment.
  • Driver’s license preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Forklift Certification
  • Driving License
