Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $18.00/hr

PART-TIME

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for unloading trucks and accurately placing product in appropriate warehouse locations. It requires a high degree of accuracy and a sense of urgency, while following safe operating standards according to Tryon’s guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Moving product from pallet jack to shelving or vice versa
• Moving and placing product on the automatic conveyor belt system
• Straightening product on shelves or in bins
• Picking orders
• Reading instructions
• Being aware of potential safety hazards, such as moving forklifts and other power equipment
• Operating forklifts and other power equipment
• Performing other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older
• Ability to lift up to 175 lbs
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Knowledge of safe work practices
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment in all weather conditions
• Availability to work the required shift
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work under tight time constraints in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous warehouse or distribution experience
• Experience or certification with power equipment (forklift, pallet jack, reach truck)

Working Conditions

• Primarily in the warehouse area

The noise level is normally moderate.
