Job summary

Altium Packaging in Allentown, PA, is seeking an Operations Trainee for its Production Management Development Program (PMDP). The role combines on‑the‑floor operations with analytical and project work to prepare for future plant leadership.

Rotations cover production, quality, maintenance, and safety, with data analysis guiding recommendations that improve efficiency, quality, safety and cost. You will gather and analyze performance data, develop actionable insights, and support leadership

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred (engineering, manufacturing, business, or related field).
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to interpret data and develop actionable recommendations.
• Effective communication skills, including presenting insights to leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured rotational program across production, quality, maintenance, and safety functions.
• Observe production processes and workflows to assess efficiency, quality, and adherence to standards.
• Collect and analyze operational data from production activities.
• Analyze KPIs, production reports, and SPC data to identify trends and root causes.
• Lead assigned projects and process improvement initiatives with measurable results.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommended actions.
• Exercise independent judgment to recommend improvements and influence plant decisions.
