Job summary

Targa Resources in Rankin, TX is seeking a field operator to monitor plant operations and optimize quality and production of products while performing maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, and control equipment. The role requires 2+ years of midstream experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work 12-hour day/night shifts including weekends.

A valid driver's license and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of related midstream work experience.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Ability to work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; some weekends/holidays.
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and be on call as needed.
Strong communication with all teams, personnel, and vendors.
Good computer skills including MS Office.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to work in changing conditions and confined spaces.
Regular attendance as required.

Responsibilities

Review and monitor plant operation to optimize quality and production.
Install pumps, motors, and valves and perform general maintenance.
Operate cryogenic plant, stabilizer, amine and glycol systems.
Collect data readings and monitor equipment.
Conduct routine maintenance on compressors and related equipment.
Complete work permits and lockout/tagout procedures; participate in tailgate meetings.
Perform startup/shutdown and emergency procedures as needed.
Act as relief operator when required.
