Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a Plant Operations Technician to optimize production facilities across hydrocarbons, polymers, and Power & Utilities. You will monitor equipment, adjust controls, and uphold Life Critical Standards for safe, efficient operations.

The role includes learning advanced control systems, isolating equipment for maintenance, and contributing to decarbonization efforts under Path2Zero. Training programs and travel opportunities across sites support career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Progress toward ABSA 4th Class (or higher) certification.
• Valid Canadian driver's license.
• Must be 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Preferred: technical diploma in Chemical Engineering or Power Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize plant operations, including equipment checks and control adjustments.
• Perform field inspections and adhere to safety protocols.
• Participate in rigorous training programs (up to three years), with travel to locations like Red Deer and New Orleans.
• Work in team-driven environments and demonstrate leadership, initiative, and organizational skills.
• Follow Operating Discipline principles to ensure consistent and reliable plant performance.
